Clark County Fair

I was sitting at my computer, backing up a bunch of photos off of memory cards and came across some pictures I took back in August 2010 at the Clark County Fair in Washington. I couldn't believe I've never done anything with them! The pictures are so colorful, fun, and great memories! I had the opportunity to go with my Sis-in-law Lurlyn and her kids and my Mother-in-law. We ate yummy food, checked out cool animals and let the two toddlers ride on some carnival rides. It was a hot day, but so fun!

I heart faces | Red Photo Challenge

The past two days my sweet Aubri has been asking me if she can have a "red". The first couple of times I was puzzled and not sure what she was talking about, but now it all makes sense. A red vine.

I Heart Faces | Innocent Wonder Photo Challenge

I definitely have to choose the picture of my 7 month old son for this! These are the kinds of looks I always get as soon as I stick the camera in his face (I think he would love to stick the camera in his mouth for a nice little taste).

I usually have to really talk to him and make funny noises to get a smiley pick... but I couldn't help the curiosity in his expression. His eyebrows say it all! I love him!

I Heart Faces photo contest | "Best Face Photo of 2010"

I had to participate in this weeks photo contest on I Heart Faces. I'm striving to learn better and different ways to take pictures. This photo is my absolute favorite of 2010 by far. Something about the way the light was hitting her hair in the background and her big beautiful eyes. I really can't resist her cute face... even when it is a little pouty.

Light

I've been working on paying attention to how the light hits my subjects since that is what my eye is drawn to in a photo. It really can make or break a photo. In my case, this particular day, it made the photo and I probably got my most favorite photo yet of my daughter. The light was coming in so perfectly in my front living room and the way it was coming through my daughters hair, I just LOVED!

This is one of my most favorites now!
