Briggs Family Shoot

While visiting my beautiful Sister in Louisville, KY, I had the privilege of taking her family photos! It didn't really go according to plan. My sister had this great location picked out for the shoot but as soon as we got on the freeway, it was completely at a stand still. We were pretty sad but I told her husband to take the next exit and we were going to make it work. 

I'm very happy with the results! I'm sad we weren't able to take them in a spot they really wanted, but her little family is way too cute to make any pictures look bad no matter where we were. I so miss my sister very much! I had so much fun getting to know my little niece Nadya who I ADORE! She is such a good baby! I love you Lyn and hope these pictures are just want you were needing above your couch!

I had the honor to photograph a favorite little family of mine. I love love love each of these kids and consider their mama a best friend. I absolutely think the world of Lurlyn! This mom of 3 little kids just finished her second half marathon. I can barely do a 10k. She is truly an inspiration!

Lurlyn suggested this fabulous location and put together their fun, bright, fabulous outfits. What more could you ask for on a photo shoot?!!! I hope they love their photos as much as I do!

I think I'm really going to like the once of month photo challenges!

This was a mother/son moment I took of my sis-in-law and her son enjoying an airplane ride. I feel a bit of nostalgia when I look at this. I love how the B&W makes it feel like this photo is older.

My Life | Beautiful Autumn

I'm feeling way more lucky this year then I did last year, living in the beautiful state of Washington during Fall. Last year we lived in the upper East corner of Montana. It's very dead out there. It has its own kind of beauty, but not trees. I'll have to post some gorgeous pictures I've taken when we lived there, sometime in the future.

In mid November I took my kids to a park near our house. The trees were so vibrant red that I couldn't help but have a mini photo shoot with them. My daughter actually begs to take pictures with my camera so I actually got in on a couple of shots myself. She's not bad for a 4 year old. ;)

So sad to see fall go. It is my favorite season. But we are so excited for Christmas and the spirit it brings!

I Heart Faces | A Touch of Sun Photo Challenge

I'm choosing this photo to enter, not because of the sun flare captured in the corner of the photo, but because of the warmth look of the sun on the side of my little mans face and hair. I even love the hint of sparkling sun on the rope swing.

I love my kiddos beautiful eyes and have so many great ones of them, that I couldn't choose between the two of them. I took this picture on my birthday with them both loving on me and giving me attention. This photo was taken in front of a window so it brings out the brightness in our eyes. I will cherish this photo forever!
